We understand that there are many questions about the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and how it affects your stay on board of our ships. Our priority is to ensure the safety and well being of our customers and staff.
Because the situation and regulations may change on an hourly basis in the coming period, it is not always clear to us either.
We have listed the most frequently asked questions regarding the Coronavirus for you.
Last update: 08.05.2020, 15:00
We booked a sailingtrip for the period until May 30, 2020
Unfortunately, when you booked a sailing trip in the period up to May 30, 2020, your sailing trip will not take place. This decision is a result of the measures imposed by the government.
If you have booked a sailing trip in this period, you can transfer it free of charge to a period later in this year or up to 370 days in advance. We take the amount paid to us as a deposit for your rebooked sailing trip.
If you do not want to or cannot rebook your sailing trip, you will receive a voucher from us for the amount you paid to us. You can spend this amount for your next sailing trip. This way you have up to one (1) year after issuing the voucher to make a new booking. The departure date of the new trip must take place no later than October 31, 2022.
In this exceptional situation that has arisen as a result of the coronavirus / COVID-19, a refund of the advance payments is not possible. You will receive a voucher from us. This voucher is not redeemable for cash.
Can I still go on holiday after May 30, 2020?
After May 30, 2020 the government did not apply restrictive measures on our ships. That means we are carrying out the trips as agreed with our guests.
We take measures in accordance with government guidelines to protect your health and ours and avoid risks. So you can enjoy a carefree time on board.
The measures taken so far can be adjusted weekly by the government, depending on the pressure on health care at that time.
Canceling of a sailingtrip with a departure date after May 30, 2020
You are more than welcome on board after May 30, 2020. The Dutch government has not issued travel restrictions for the Netherlands after that date. This means that our skippers can still go sailing with you. It is therefore not possible to cancel free of charge. You will find the cancellation conditions in the general terms and conditions that were sent to you upon booking.
Whether your insurance covers the cancellation depends on your insurance. We advise you to contact your insurer about this.
Only in the event of travel restrictions for the Netherlands (code red) on the date of departure you can cancel your trip free of charge. As a result, this cannot be predicted far in advance. Should this be the case, we will inform you immediately and before the start of the trip.
